Hello and welcome stamping friends! It's that time again for another Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop.

Once a month we feature projects made with one Stampin' Up! bundle to inspire you. This month we are giving the Sale-a-bration promotion one last harruh showing you the Amazing You stamp set and the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.[4009899]

The Amazing You stamp set comes in Clear-Mount and Wood-Mount and is yours for FREE when you spend $90AUD on Stampin' Up! products.[4009899]

How fun are these Celebrate You Thinlits dies? Loving the words and then fonts for a gorgeous look. These can be yours for FREE when you spend $180AUD on Stampin' Up! products.

I'm loving these thinlits dies and the are so versatile for any project. It even looks good to use some of the word dies together.

I made a card last week using the Amazing You Stamp set where I coloured in the flower image and created a card with a really clean look, check it out HERE. I enjoyed colouring in the flower and creating that clean look that I wanted to try and make something similar again for today's card.

While the coloured flower and clean look are similar the whole feel to the card is completely different.

I've started with laying a Smoky Slate Base and then using a Gold Foil Circle, I embossed what I would call the sunrise image, using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder for that gold on gold look. If you haven't embossed Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder on Gold Foil Sheets before you must try it because it really is a gorgeous, classic and classy look!

I've used again on of my mos favourite products at the moment, the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit and used one of the Vellum/Silver Foil die cuts. I'm so loving these vellum die cuts with the silver embossing. Just pop them out and layer them with your other favourite products and hey presto you've got your card pretty done! Got to love a quick card that looks gorgeous too!

I've layered on top of the Vellum/Silver Foil die cut my favourite leaf die from the Flourish Thinlits Dies. I love to leave all the little 'pieces' in the leaf. You can still see all the detail in leaf but it just makes for a different look. And then on top of that the flower image embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Shimmery White and then coloured with Blushing Bride Ink using an Aqua Painter.

The Basic Black 'You' makes for a bold look and then the little 'For' comes from the Cake Soiree Stamp Set embossed in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The black sequins and Gold Metallic thread finish off the classy clean look.

I do hope that I've given you some more inspiration for these fabulous products and if you haven't gotten these Sale-a-bration FREEBIES yet, then contact me TODAY to see how you can get your hands one these. Sale-a-bration must finish 31st March so get these before they are gone!

Just Add Ink #399 | Just Add Water

Hell there stamping friends! Friday has come around again and so has another challenge over at Just Add Ink. It's a fun challenge and one that has so many possibilities for a fun creation - Just Add Water.

You could be inspired by the colours of the ocean, or the animals that live in it, or the rain, water colouring, swimming, the beach, just anything to do with water.

I've gone a bit literal with my card today to use an Aqua Painter and to colour my image with water for some gorgeous water colouring using the Stampin' Up! Flying Home Stamp set. This is such a cute stamp set with some fabulous images that lend themselves to being coloured any colouring medium.[400989]

Just a bit cute, right?

I've coloured in the hanging bird house image using an aqua painter on Water Colour Paper. The water colour paper counts too for the Just Add Water theme, doesn't it?

I inked up the image in the Basic Black Archival Ink, stamped it down and then heat embossed it with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. I like to heat emboss the image when water colouring as it creates a small barrier around the image and you have less chance of the ink and water bleeding past the line and you don't have to be quite so precise and neat with your colouring. Makes it a bit quicker to colour too.

To pick up the colour out of the Stampin' Up! Classic Inks, when the inkpad is closed, squeeze the inkpad in the middle of the lid quite firmly, and the lid of the inkpad will pick up some colour off the ink pad. Open the lid and then using your aqua painter you can then pick up the colour off the lid. This is a fabulous design feature of the Stampin' Up! Inkpads. Another way you can get the colour is to put a few drops of re-inker in the well of an open inkpad and you can pick up the colour that way. Either way works equally well. Saves having a painters palette lying around on your desk with drops of colour and more of a chance to spill mess everywhere. The way that my desk is I don't need any more things that will spill and make more mess. It's messy enough!

I coloured the images a little different this time and really let the water and the colour do the work themselves rather than me actually colouring it in. To colour each part in, I wet each little bit of the image with the aqua painter, and then put just a little bit of colour on each part and the water that I had already used to 'pre-wet' the image pulled the colour around. The water did all the work moving the colour around. If that makes sense? So only where you put water would the colour move to. If you didn't put water right up to the edge of each line then the colour would only move to where the water was. It really made it quite easy to colour that way! Love it!

To get the depth of colour I did use two colours throughout the whole image, starting with the light colour and then highlighting with a darker colour, really trying to use the lines in the image as to where to highlight.

Make sure you have a look over at the Just Add Ink Blog for all the fabulous Just Add Water inspiration and then come and join in the fun with this weeks theme. Can't wait to see your 'water' creation!

Global Design Project | #GP128 | Amazing You

Hello there stampers! Happy Wednesday hope you are having a fabulous day! I've had some time this week to just play and create, so I'd thought I playing along with the amazing team over at the Global Design Project - #GP128. I do love the GDP challenge blog and really wanted to play along.

This weeks challenge is to CASE the Designer. - Steffi Helmschrott.  CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit. To CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set - the colours, the layout, the theme, the images - whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

I love Steffi's beautiful and clean style and everything she makes is just a WOW - each and every time. If you have ever seen any of her watercolour creations they are just off the charts amazing! My card says how I feel about her creations - simply amazing!

I loved the colours, layout, the long landscape card and the beautiful clean style in Steffi's original card and then created my card from there to recreate that Steffi style while adding some Rochelle-isms as well.

I stamped and heat embossed three of the flower images from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration stamp set - Amazing You. The flower had some leaves around the edge it but I wanted just the flower to be part of my card, so once stamped and coloured I trimmed the leaves off.

Since I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White Cardstock I had to be careful as to not add too much water when colouring with the Peekaboo Peach colour. The Shimmery White can handle a little bit of water as it has a coating over it for that gorgeous shimmer but you can't use as much water as for watercolour paper.

The leaf die comes from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies, that co-ordinate with the Petal Palette Stamp set, and then over the Old Olive leaves I've added some of the gorgeous Vellum/Silver Foil die cuts from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit. So versatile that kit! Can be used with anything!!

And of course it wouldn't be a Rochelle card with out some ribbon and trim. I've layered some Black Mini Sequin Trim and some Black Metallic Thread under the flowers and these tie all the black elements together for a more cohesive card.

I've finished the card off with the 'Simply' cut from part of a sentiment from the Amazing You SAB stamp set and then die cut the 'amazing' out Gold Glimmer Paper using another Sale-a-bration freebie, the Celebrate You Thinlits.

Fancy Friday Blog Hop | Colour Challenge

Why hello there! Welcome, Welcome! Happy Fri-Yay! It's time for another Fancy Friday Blog Hop! If you've not hopped with us before we are a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Members. We have a blog hop once a month with everything fun and fancy and showing what we love!

This months hop we have a gorgeous colour combo for you! Emerald Envy, Night of Navy and Pool Party.  Isn't it pretty?!

My card today I've gone for that crisp white look with touches of the colour combo so that they really stand out! I've pulled out a framelits set that I'm ashamed to say that I haven't used yet before today - Bouquet Bunch Framelits! Eek! I really loved with this framelits set and co-ordinating stamp set  when I saw it released in 2017. Had to have it straight away and I hadn't looked at it since. I know terrible right!

This card is actually made for someone who is going through a tough time at the moment and I actually thought of getting some flowers delivered to her. I then thought they are just going to wither and die so why not send some flowers that are going to last for a long time! These flowers will never wither and die!

I washed a layer of Pool Party ink over a sheet of Watercolour Paper to get that washed/mottled look. and then used the die from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits to cut out all the blooms. Because the ink dried out a little lighter than I would had liked I washed over some more ink till I got the desired colour. The card in real life is a darker wash than in the photo here and really does look better in real life. Once the ink wash was completely dry on each die cut I picked up some more Pool Party Ink with and Aqua Painter to flick some more of that colour for the splattered look. I really think that the bunch of flowers looks like a gorgeous bunch of Hydrangea's with the variation of colour in the flowers.

Now that I've had a play with this set its time to use it some more! Going to try some different colour combos for all the different colours of Hydrangea's. I've got some colour ideas that I'm looking forward to trying!
Time to get this card in the post and on to its intended recipient and to let them know I'm thinking about them.

Now on to the gorgeous Dani Dziama to see her use of colour combo!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Add Ink #397 | Just Add 'H'

Hello stamping friends! The days and weeks just keep rolling on and we have come to another Friday and another challenge over at Just Add Ink. It's a pretty simple challenge but it's lots of fun, Just Add 'H'. As long as a 'H' element is the main focus of of your project then you're set for the challenge.

I've used the Stampin' Up! Happy Celebration stamp set for a Happy Birthday card for the guys. With the 'H' theme I really wanted that 'Happy' to be the main focus of the card.

I've stamped the 'Happy' using the Memento Tuxedo Black in on Crumb Cake card stock. I did originally try to colour the 'Happy' with Night of Navy Stampin' Blends but wasn't happy with the way it was turning out so I left just the outline of the 'Happy' stamped as is.

All the colours for all the items on the card come from the colours in the True Gentleman DSP from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. Its such a stunning pack of DSP and the colours are gorgeous. Perfect for those boys and men in our lives. It's got some classic patterns mixed up with some fun images. So fun!

I've then embellished the card with Linen Thread, Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon, Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon, True Gentleman Buttons and some Night of Navy Enamel Shapes.Who says you can't put ribbon on a guys card?! Have you seen that Corduroy Ribbon?? It is beyond gorgeous! It's beautiful!!! Watch this space! New ribbon love that will be on all my creations!

There is loads more Just Add 'H' inspiration from the AMAZING Just Add Ink gals over at the Just Add Ink Blog. While you are there check out all the details on how to enter this weeks challenge and then come and join in the fun! You are only limited by your imagination!

Just Add Ink #396 | Just Add a Sketch

Hello there stamping friends! It's time again for a new challenge over at Just Add Ink. Congratulations to last weeks winners and thank you to you all who entered last weeks challenge. The weeks seem to roll so quickly and before you know it one challenge is over and an new one begins.

If you've been following me for a while you will know that a sketch challenge is my all time favourite! All the hard work is done for you! All you have to do is pick out a stamp set, some paper and embellishments and put it all together using the sketch!

I've gone for a bright and fun card today using the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp set with the co-ordinating DSP 6" x 6" stack, Picture Perfect Party. The colours for the card all come out of the DSP stack so that they all co-ordinate together.

The background is just repeatedly stamping the small triangle stamp using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink on Bermuda Bay Cardstock. This is one of the easiest ways to make a fun and interesting background. It is so easy to do create a background like this as you don't have to be to precise. Just stamp away and your done!

The candles are part of a two-step stamping technique. The first part of the image is the lighter colour which I first stamped off once to get the lighter hue and then the patterned image on the top is the same colour stamped in full strength. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love thins two-step stamping, especially using the one colours, as you get a whole lot more out of you inks and more variation of colour.

The card is finished off with one of the sentiments from the stamp set and then die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. and then accented with some of the fabulous and beautiful Stampin' Up! Ribbon, Trim and Embellishments. All my favourite things to finish off and accent a card!

Check out the rest of the amazing creations from the fabulous Just Add Ink Design Team gals and  their take on the sketch. I love how we all have the same sketch yet we all create something very different! While you are checking out all those awesome creations, check out all the details on this weeks challenge and how you can enter your creation! Can't wait to see your creations!

Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop | Cake Soiree

Hello stamping friends. Welcome to this months Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop. We are bringing you our creations using the Cake Soiree Bundle. It's everything pretty, girly, gorgeous and all things that I love! The products from the Sweet Soiree Suite were the first ones that I had to have from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue and have really loved creating with them so far.

Today I've gone with Crumb cake as my bas colour and then build up my card from there. I first stamped and embossed the cake with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and then washed over the cake a wash of Whisper White Craft Ink on top of the Crumb Cake using an Aqua Painter. I made sure not to use too much water when putting down the white ink so as not to pill the Crumb Cake Card stock. This white ink acts as a protective layer when colouring on the Crumb Cake cardstock but you still have to be careful not to use too much water.

I've then coloured in the cake with colours that are found in the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit  - Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Berry Burst. The white wash of the cake and the colouring in of the flowers make it look like the flowers have been painted on the cake and the images have been piped on with white icing. All the things that make a gorgeous and beautiful cake.

To the side of the cake I've layered some pieces from the co-ordinating Thinlits Die set - Sweet Cake and as well from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit. Again using the same colours that I used to colour in the cake. Love that consistency of colours throughout the card used from the embellishment kit. Consistency and co-ordination is the key!

Under the cake I've layered a piece of the beautiful Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper and a piece of the Marina Mist Scalloped Velvet Ribbon, from the embellishment kit. If I was you I would get the embellishment kit just for that ribbon. Its A-MA-ZING!!! I think Stampin' Up! need to bring that ribbon out in a full roll of it. Saying it is beautiful is an understatement!!!

And then I've finished the card of with cutting out the 'Happy Birthday' from one of the sentiments from the Cake Soiree Stamp set and then dotting a few Silver Sequins around on the card for that little something extra and that gorgeous touch of bling!

I hope that I've give you some inspiration with this bundle and suite and some more ideas on how to use these products. Now back to the top of the hop with Amy Koenders in the U.S.
